Escaping from my ho-hum week of suburban wife/motherhood, I have been escaping in to the 'It's Complicated' house.  This would be my dream home.  I would even forgo a Cape Cod dream house or my Formosa Road dream house for THIS house!

Trying to live in the moment and be mindful of my time and days, although it has been hard this week.  School holidays start on Saturday and I am dreaming of the squally winter coastline of Northern New South Wales just a little too much.

Big boy has been completely exhausted, middle one seems to be settling in to our routine (and going to music lessons on his own) and little one is nearly pain free but annoyed with his arm splints.

Another 9 days

Fingers crossed IV antibiotics will be complete in 9 days time. This is our longest visit since May... We are still settling back in to organizing the big boys and keeping everything normal-ish for our little family.

9 days may not seem like a lot but after so many other days in, I am more than ready to have little one in his home and catching up on all the things he has missed out on. I'm trying to keep him in his normal routine with play time, exercises, bath time and his day time sleep. He responds better to his routine (not unlike his somewhat routine orientated homebody mother)!

 

Quiet afternoon

While the big boys are camping for the weekend, little one and I are enjoying our own definitions of a relaxing afternoon.
